5. Lucerne Hay - Compressed

Lucerne, also known as alfalfa, is a protein-rich, leafy hay ideal for young, growing, pregnant, or nursing small animals. It’s high in calcium and energy, making it a great supplement for pets with higher nutritional needs.

Please note: we do not recommend this for rabbits over 6 months old unless pregnant or nursing. Lucerne should always be offered alongside Timothy or Meadow hay.

Grown in the lush fields of Gisborne and stored for a minimum of three months before arriving in Auckland, this hay undergoes a careful process to reduce the risk of RCD (Rabbit Calicivirus Disease) and ensure your rabbit’s safety.
